The David Boreanaz Interview with Tony Bray

David Boreanaz A January 2006 Interview His days of bloody fangs are over. The actor has a hit series on Fox that should keep him tied up for years while thoroughly entertaining his fans. It's hard work, but he's the right man for the job.
|
It's time for all television critics to admit that the talented actor who starred as a vampire with a soul (most of the time) in the fantastic universe created by Joss Whedon is not a creature of habit. In fact, Boreanaz has already scored another hit series and didn't even have to suck the blood out of anybody's neck to get the part.
He stars in Fox's 'Bones' as FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth, a former Army sniper who likes to overwhelm criminals with his ability to track them down using witnesses and good old fashion detective work. Booth likes to act first and ask questions later, which is exactly the opposite of the way his partner in crime solving, Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel), uncovers evidence. She is a forensic anthropologist who has the unique ability to find clues that are hidden in and on the bones of the dead. She also is a famous author. Together, Booth and Brennan are almost able to overlook each other's differences in time to solve their cases. They also are one hot couple, but fans of the series should not expect a lovefest to take place anytime soon.
On Wednesday (January 25}, Fox will introduce viewers to the new day and time for 'Bones.' The episode begins at 9pm and centers around the discovery of a woman's body parts that are found near Los Angeles International Airport.
When I saw the 'Bones' pilot, Boreanaz amazed me with his ability to divorce himself from the Angel character. In fifteen minutes, I quit thinking of him as a vampire hero and started to conjure up images of Cary Grant in roles that showcased the late actor's wit in dramatic moments. That's why I asked Fox for the interview that follows. I realized that their 'Bones' lead is quite capable of delivering the goods in any role. He is a television star now, but don't be surprised if Hollywood producers notice his versatility soon. It happened to George Clooney. Why not a former creature of the night?

Angel fans were thrilled this weekend by a rare UK
convention appearance by the top star himself, David Boreanaz.
Wearing glasses, jeans and T-shirt, David looked relaxed as
he answered questions and signed a mountain of autographs at
The David Boreanaz European Event. As well as chatting about
favourite episodes, how he relaxes, directing and the like, he
politely turned down the many hundreds of dates he was
offered. Now, now ladies, he's a married man!

David Boreanaz Q&A at the LA Comic Book and Sci-Fi COnvention
|
"The palette that I've had at my fingertips has been a very rare thing. I'm not flapping around in a cape, like Dracula."
On Sunday, May 4, David Boreanaz appeared at the Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention at the Shrine Auditorium, and did a question and answer session. He signed autographs afterward for the first one hundred and sixty people before leaving for his son's first birthday party. I know the exact number of autographs he signed because I was number 167.
They showed a short compilation of “Angel” clips – the same reel which was used by Mutant Enemy to re-pitch The WB for a fifth season of “Angel” - before David appeared The biggest audience reaction to the reel came when James Marster’s "big fluffy puppy with bad teeth" line from Spike's season one crossover episode, “Into the Dark.”
David was wearing jeans and a football jersey. He looked great, and was very friendly and comfortable with the crowd. Unfortunately, many of the questions were partly or completely inaudible due to the lack of audience microphones. Fortunately, David's answers were all loud and clear.
Here are the highlights of his Q&A:

Instyle Magazine - January 2002
But
then, what would you expect from a man whose TV character is name is Angel.
Despite the rain when David Boreanaz and Jaime Bergman wed, the two did indeed
feel blessed.
Angel star David Boreanaz met his celestial match when he was introduced to
Jamie Bergman of the cable comedy 'Son Of Beach' at a party last year. Jaime
'knew he was husband material' from the start because he spoke so tenderly about
his family when he took her to dinner on their first date.Under a star filled
desert sky in July while they were on an evening hike, Boreanaz suprised Bergman
with a 1920's art deco diamond and platinum ring he had purchased at Frances
Klein Estate Jewels of Bevery Hills.

News: Cinema Confidential Interview: David Boreanaz of ''Valentine''

David Boreanaz
"Valentine"
By Phil Van
David Boreanaz eases
through the door with a subtle coolness, wearing an expression that says
he's at home wherever he may be. Given his recent success in television's
"Buffy The Vampire Slayer," the offshoot series "Angel," designed
specifically around his character from "Buffy," and his first role in
February's Warner Brothers' release "Valentine," Boreanaz has, rest assured,
earned his comfort.
